How much does it cost to buy a franchise territory?
The total fee is £29,950 plus vat (the vat element is reclaimed in the first quarter). The fee includes 5 days residential training with accommodation, followed by 2 days on-site training, operations manual, full set of tools, computer device, independent business plan, website, local phone number, insurance and 3 months marketing.
When can I be expected to pay back the investment?
Independent business plans show the payback period to be one year.
Do you provide finance for the purchase?
No but we are an approved associate of Franchise Finance, the leader provider of franchise finance in the UK, who have helped many of our current franchisees to secure finance. Should you be interested in discussing your finance options we can put you in touch with them.
Are there any monthly fees to pay?
Yes but only after the first 3 months of trading. The management fee is 8% of net turnover (minimum monthly fee is £350) and covers your insurance, full accounting support, telephone answering service, website (with search engine optimisation) and Which? Trusted Trader membership.
Do I need to be a joiner or have exceptional DIY skills?
Absolutely not. Our franchisees are from a wide variety of backgrounds from retail, IT and accounting to electrician and plasterer. In fact we only have one joiner in our franchise family. If you have basic DIY knowledge we can teach you what you need to know.
Do I need to be physically fit?
Yes, the work can be physically demanding as there are stairs to climb. However, several of our franchisees are in their 50s and manage the work really well.
Is there an age limit on buying a franchise?
Not really. As mentioned above, if you are relatively fit and active there is no limit. Our current franchisees range from 27 to 59.
There are other companies in my area offering the same service. Will this adversely affect my turnover?
The short answer is no. Our most successful franchisee has six competitors in his territory and has a win ratio of over 75% (quotes to orders). We will give you the training to compete, and beat, the competition.
Can I speak to a Franchisee?
Absolutely, we encourage you to do this. Any of our current franchisees are available for a chat so just let us know which one you would like to speak to and we will put you in touch.
Your website mentions an Admin System. What does this do?
The admin system basically allows you to concentrate on the fitting and keeping your customers happy without bogging you down in mountains of paperwork and accounts. The system has been specifically designed for Access4Lofts and manages your diary, generates all your paperwork from initial enquiry right through to accounts with minimal input.
